Looks like we have a new friend

Look who I came across in the garden today.  I think he is quite old, its the cheesy 70’s lingo that gives it away.  Click to find out what you will be doing (a rough title) this term.  We may be seeing more of him in class soon!

Goodbye Ms Chan

Today is Ms Chan’s last day at St Ursulas.  Ms Chan has been working with the Geography department since October and has taught many of you this term and last term.  Ms Chan is off to Crown Woods to complete the second part of her placement before she returns to the Institute of Eduction. We wish her well next term.  I am sure Ms Chan will come back and visit us soon.

Welcome Back

I first of all need to apologise for not posting since before christmas.  One factor was the Holidays but the other was due to the whirl wind of madness that is Ofsted.  Any way now that is out of the way I look forward to writing many posts over the following year.  This week I will be posting Lourdes earthquake proof building tests and some photos from the Year 9 trip to the natural history museum.  I will also be developing a new GCSE section of the blog so keep visiting.  Those of you in year 11 will know that you need to hand in your GCSE coursework on the 16th now which is an extra week.

Happy Christmas

Happy Chritmas to all students and teachers of St Ursulas. This will be my last posting for 2006 and so I thought I would leave you with some gifts to keep you in the Christmas Spirit.

For Christmas Eve if you click on NORADs site (North American Aerospace Defense Command) you can track Santa by using Santa Cams, Jet Fighter Aircraft, Satellites and Radar. Find out who Santa is and get into the festive spirit. You can only do this on the 24th December so don’t forget to visit the site on that day.

Today sees the launch of the new Gorgeous Geography Blog.  I have moved it from blogger to an easier to update blog that should be clearer to use.  The new site is organised slightly differently to the original the tabs above take you to an overview of what we are doing in each year group for the term.  This page also links to other pages that are not changable such as links that will help you in each unit.  Things may change so bare with me untill I get the hang of this new site.
